CBL528 Bi-amped Constant Beamwidth Loudspeaker with 180° of Horizontal Coverage with Integrated Gain-shading providing a 45° Vertical Pattern.

Featuring a compact form factor, the CBL528 makes an excellent choice for permanent installations such as fitness & sports venues, conference centers and Houses of Worship. And with its Bi-Amped design for system integration with Blaze amplifiers, it also makes an excellent choice for permanent installations such as performing arts venues, commercial theaters, and Houses of Worship.

With its wide 180-degree horizontal and 45-degree vertical dispersion, this loudspeaker supports a frequency range from 54Hz to 18kHz—ensuring clear, natural sounding music and highly articulate speech reproduction. Equally important, the CBL528’s symmetrical dispersion pattern ensures listeners hear consistent sound regardless of whether they are positioned in front of, to the left, or to the right of the loudspeaker.

* Frequency response and range measured on-axis with recommended active EQ in an anechoic environment.

** Power handling tested using pink noise filtered to meet IEC 268-5, 6 dB crest factor, 100 hours, with recommended EQ.

*** Sensitivity measured in free field (no boundary-loading gain) with recommended active EQ, referenced to 1 W/1 m.

**** Maximum SPL calculated from sensitivity and power handling specifications, exclusive of power compression (100 Hz-10 KHz).

Where can I get a demonstration of the Blaze speakers?

Contact the local distributor in your country; they can connect you with a local supplier.

Do I have to EQ the speakers?

No, download the EQ settings for the Blaze speakers from our website and upload them to a Blaze PowerZone Connect amplifier. The EQ settings also contain FIR filters, limiters, and crossovers for the CBL528.

Can I use all types of Speakon connectors and cables for the CBL523 and CBL528?

Yes and No! The CBL523 can be used with a 2 or 4-pole Speakon connector. The CBL528 uses a 4-pole Speakon connector as this speaker is bi-amped. Use cable thicknesses according to the lengths of the cable. (A schematic can be found on our website here)

How many CBL523 can I connect to one (1) PowerZone Connect 504?

The CBL523 is a 4-ohm speaker, and therefore, one speaker can be connected to each output. Meaning, 4 speakers in total on a PowerZone Connect 504 amplifier. For more speakers connected in parallel, use the larger 2U amplifiers as they can handle down to 2-ohm loads.

Is there a preferred amplifier for the CBL523 and CBL528?

In theory, all the PowerZone Connect amplifiers can be used. However, for the CBL523, the Connect 252/504 is a good match. To get full power, the bigger versions are recommended. For the CBL528, we recommend the Connect 3004, but lesser models can suffice if full power isn’t needed. Using the EQ settings from our website, the speakers are protected with limiters.

Super wide, tightly controlled

A crossover point at 420Hz continuing all the way up to 18KHz allows for a smooth blend of full range audio from the entire reflective physical space, rendering speech intelligibility holes obsolete.
